What you see – Started in October 2007, Travel Bench is the brainchild of Ashish Kasodekar. An avid traveler, a backpacker, a national level basketball player and a winner of Enduro Adventure Race’09, Ashish is a huge sports and hard core adventure enthusiast. After having worked in a travel agency and as a manager for Alitalia Airlines for 13 years, he decided to start his own venture which can place its ‘travel bench’ where its customers require.

What you get - Travel Bench offers travel bookings and arranges specially tailored packages for individuals and groups. Visa assistance is also offered. The USP of the company is adventure tourism to international destinations as well as sports tourism camps especially for sportsmen.

Some of their earlier camps include backpacking in Interlaken (Switzerland) where the itinerary included bungee jumping from a gondola, canyon swing into glaciers etc. Shorter trips like a two day stay in Bangkok are also organized where apart from a city tour, snorkeling and deep water solo boat trip are included.
 
For sports persons, Travel Bench organizes sports oriented camps where players are taken to tournaments. Food and stay are included.

Our verdict – If travel and adventure is what you are looking for in a holiday, then Travel Bench seems to offer interesting packages. They also have a tie-up with HDFC Bank for loans with EMI facility. Pay them a visit to explore adventure trips options though parking at their office on Bhandarkar Road can be a problem.
