What you see – The dispensary on Ashok Path Road, Law College Road is a flat that has been divided into a waiting room, a separate office cum medicine room and the doctor’s consultation room. You will also see pictures of nature and wildlife as the doctor is an ardent traveler and a nature enthusiast.

Dr. Suresh Khare did his MBBS from B.J. Medical College and then moved to Dubai. Years later he came back to Pune and started his dispensaries on Law College Road and Khadki, successfully practicing for almost 40 glorious years.

What you get – Dr. Khare treats various kinds of ailments ranging from a simple cold and cough to skin problems and complicated cases of cancer. His treatments are a combination of allopathy and homeopathy, taking the best of both the practices and understanding their limitations.

Each patient has a sheet filled in by the doctor’s assistants to study their behavior, temperament, food habits, sleeping patterns, medicines taken in the past, side effects, signs of disease etc. Thus the patient’s case history is taken into account before treatment is started. Treatment includes medicines, diet and even lifestyle changes.

Our verdict – We noticed a long queue outside the dispensary of Dr. Khare waiting for the doctor to come, way before the scheduled timings - a clear indication of the doctor’s popularity. The doctor is known to be a miracle worker treating the worst of cases with great expertise and correct diagnosis. His clientele includes prominent politicians, singers, industrialists, artists etc. The wait is usually long, so be sure to be on time. Limited parking space is available.
